PursePatterns.com is Up!
We are very happy to say that PursePatterns.com is up and, after extensively testing and retesting, everything is working fine again! To celebrate, we have added lots of new purse patterns, including 3 new designers - Leesa Chandler Designs, May Blossom, and Atkinson Designs.

Looking for Unique Purse Patterns? Try Bella Nonna and Nellie's Needle!
We have added 2 new purse pattern designers just in time for Christmas - Bella Nonna and Nellie's Needle!
Bella Nonna's bag pattern designs have a contemporary flair, with a totally feminine ruffled handbag and a fat quarter happy comfortable tote/handbag with different sizes included.
Nellie's Needle designs are more country primitive, with a soft "rag bag" effect in styles ranging from a quilted patchwork bag pattern to a pac sac drawstring bag.

All Purse Patterns Have Been Moved To PursePatterns.com
We have finished moving all our purse patterns from Henrietta's Handbags to PursePatterns.com and the current count right this minute is 1,243 bag patterns, bag accessory patterns, backpack patterns, and wallet patterns.
We are now concentrating on adding even more new purse patterns and the latest is The Manager Bag Pattern by Quilt Woman which has the following features:
The Manager Bag pattern by Quilt Woman is designed by Brenda Wineman and has instructions for 2 zippered pockets, 2 exterior pockets, and customizable sized pockets inside. There is a top zipper closure and the skill level is intermediate with a finished size of 11 1/2" H x 12" W x 4" D.

Purse Pattern Categories Just Added - Paradiso Designs and In Stitches
We have just added 2 new Purse Pattern Designers to our site - Paradiso Designs (Cheryl Kuczek ) and In Stitches (8 new bag patterns)!
Paradiso Designs include The Anna Handbag pattern, Be Green Market Bag, Carry All Shoulder Bag, the Okashi Courier Bag pattern, and the Tiny Bag pattern. All these purse patterns included full size pattern pieces with the exception of the Be Green Market Bag.
In Stitches are original purse patterns with complete instructions in designs such as the Zippy Hobo Bag, the Lizzie Bag, the Zippy Tote and Handbag, the Tailored Tote, the Reversible Tote, the Joey Purse, the Jamie Bag, and the Charmer Tote bag. My personal favorite is the Reversible Tote because it is so easy to make and it's like getting two bags in one!

Purse Pattern Info and Tutorials
A new page has been added to PursePatterns.com called "Pattern Info/Tutorials". We are constantly trying to add more and more interesting and important information to our site but without making it overwhelming to use so all our tutorials will now be listed on this page.
So far, we have a purse piping tutorial, a crazy quilting tutorial (the different methods of crazy quilting such as the Sew and Flip or the Antique Method), and a listing of pattern terminology such as what is Peltex, what is a Layer Cake, etc. We have also included some handy common conversions of cm to inches to help with our Australian patterns!
Also on the bottom navigation menu, we have added a link called "Free Purse Patterns From Us!" which will have the links to the purse patterns that we have written and are offering free of charge to you.
If you have any suggestions about how to better organize our site, please let us know!
